The vacations and adventures of :noogs

A couple of years ago when my ex-boyfriend left me I went through this “I have to get out and explore the World” phase. I went out and explored a bunch of places, and hung out with different groups of people to help me get my mind off of the break up. In May of 2007, I went on a mud cavern exploration tour with my girlfriend and her husband. Here are some of the pictures from that adventure. It was a blast, and it did what it was suppose to do…got my mind off of things, and made me feel better about me.

About a couple of weeks ago I went on a camping trip with my boyfriend and our friends. We went to one of the most scenic spots I have ever seen in California. Besides the freak wave of heat we experienced, the whole trip was a blast. My buddy Superfly Brown even recorded a music video while we were out there. Check out the photos and Superfly Brown’s video:

Superfly Brown’s Video – Stoney Popes
This was a fun video to make cause it was shot in night vision. Mr. Superfly himself did all the video editing and direction, sick!

We ate dinner at this wondrously delicious restaurant called, Nepenthe. The food was so good, and the view was amazing. We got in just in time to catch The Never Ending Sunset. Dinner and a sunset view…what more could you ask for?

I haven’t had this much fun on a camping trip in a long time.

A little while back, I went to San Juan, Puerto Rico for my girl, Frances’ bachelorette party. This was my first time there and I can only say that the time there was well spent. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a camera cause it was stolen a couple of months back. But here are the photos I was able to take on my phone, and pictures the other girls were able to take on their cameras.

The Shot As soon as we hit the hotel, we made our way to the bar for our very first shot in Puerto Rico. Frances decided a nice shot of Petrone would be the poison of choice.

Later that evening we decided to dine at the restaurant in the hotel. We had some awesome food and delicious wine that night. Our waiters were more than happy to give us some advice on where to go and what to do in Puerto Rico. All the spots we visited that were suggested were so fun. Here’s some pictures from that night. At the end of the evening we gave a nice toast to the bride-to-be and hit the town from some craziness.

The next day (Saturday) was our big Zipline tour through the canopies of Puerto Rico. The crew that helped us swing through the trees like Tarzan were the sweetest group of people. Here’s shots of me and girls with the peeps from the Marquez Canopy Tour Crew.

The One We Call Mitchell
The guy above was our safety instructor, we call him The Mitchell. He was one of the funniest members of the crew. After his demonstration of how strong the ziplines actually were, I can tell you I felt no fear for what was to come.

On Sunday, we went out and explored a little bit of Old San Juan. We ate some great food and drank some delicious sangria. Since we didn’t know too much about what we were ordering we pretty much left it up to our waiter. Here’s some shots of the food and us after we ate.

So Yummy I don’t know what we got, but everything on this plate was awesome. That orange sauce was yummy. I should have taken an after shot of the plate cause it looked like someone had washed it since we licked it clean.
Natz & Avajoy Here’s a shot of me and Avajoy after our day through Old San Juan. Chill’n at the beach, getting some sun and enjoying the weather.

Overall the trip to Puerto Rico was an awesome. Met some cool locals, swam in the warm Atlantic, zipped through the canopies like Tarzan, and hit up some crazy clubs I’d never see stateside. I will definitely go back for some more fun and sun. Maybe my next trip out there I can go with the Mister ; )

I just landed in Atlanta and I feel like crap. It’s about 6 AM here and we have about 4 hours here till our flight to Puerto Rico. Ugh….

Here’s a picture of me attempting to sleep and the bed I slept on.

I’m pretty sure this trip will be fun. I’m excited about going to Puerto Rico, but also a little weary. A bunch of peoples I have spoken to has said it’s a bit sketchy there. It’s all good though, I think we’ll be alright.

This past weekend I got to meet up with a bunch of my friends from work in Las Vegas. They were there for the Photoshop World Conference, I was there to have fun! Yay! This by far has been my favorite trip to Vegas. I’ve never had so much fun! The best group ever!!!
